    Hand Taps

    Hand taps are essential tools for threading operation. They are engineered with several flutes and chamfers including taper, bottoming, and plug which thread different depths and hole types. Taper chamfer taps feature a gradual taper at the cutting end, facilitating easy alignment and starting threads in through holes. Bottoming chamfer taps have a shorter chamfer length, allowing them to thread to the bottom of blind holes without leaving unthreaded portions. Plug chamfer taps offer a balanced design suitable for general-purpose threading tasks, providing efficient chip evacuation and consistent thread quality. Extension hand taps are designed with longer shanks to reach recessed or hard-to-access areas, enabling threading in deep holes or confined spaces. Choose from a wide selection of WIDIA hand taps.
